Nature of Presenting Problem (NPP) Required - Configuration [HOW TO CHEAT SHEET]

The attached cheat sheet provides the Configuration steps the client can make to require the Nature of Presenting Problem (NPP) be selecting by the documenting Provider.  Configuring the Signing Rules to Require NPP, requires the documenting Provider to use the Coding Advisor and determine the Evaluation and Management Code (E/M Code) or level of care and coding warranted by the patient's illness.  It is understood that medical necessity must also be met.
